At least twelve people have died and ten others were injured after a bus carrying Polish tourists overturned on Hungary’s M3 motorway early on Sunday, officials confirmed.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene near Mezokeresztes, where firefighters rescued thirty-five individuals from the wreckage. An unspecified number of passengers were initially trapped beneath the vehicle, according to the disaster management service.

Emergency Operations Underway
The coach, carrying holidaymakers from Poland, flipped onto its side during the early hours of Sunday morning. Police have commenced an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fatal incident.
The injured were transported to several nearby hospitals, although their conditions were not immediately disclosed. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those killed in the crash.
Sections of the M3 motorway remained closed for several hours as recovery operations continued, causing significant traffic disruption. Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes.
