How Pubbverse reports, sources, fact-checks and handles AI assistance.
Mission
Pubbverse provides accurate, fair and timely news to a global readership. We are independent of any political party, government or commercial interest, and we hold ourselves accountable when we fall short.
Sourcing
Every article cites the primary sources behind a claim — official statements, regulatory filings, peer-reviewed research, court documents, on-the-record interviews, or named wire services. Anonymous sources are used only when the public interest is clear and the source's information has been corroborated. We disclose when we cannot verify a claim.
Verification & fact-checking
Breaking-news desks confirm material facts with at least two independent sources before publication where time allows. Numerical claims, quotes and named entities are double-checked by an editor against the primary source.
Use of AI
Pubbverse uses AI tools to assist research, drafting and translation. Every AI-assisted story is reviewed, edited and verified by a human editor before publishing. AI is never used to fabricate sources, quotes or images presented as factual. We label fully synthetic visuals.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Editorial decisions are made independent of advertising or commercial partnerships. Staff disclose financial interests that might appear to influence coverage and recuse themselves where appropriate.
Diversity and fairness
We seek a range of voices, give subjects a fair opportunity to respond, distinguish fact from opinion clearly, and avoid stereotypes.
Updates and labels
When a story changes materially after publication we update it, timestamp the change and, when warranted, add a note explaining what was changed and why. Opinion pieces are labelled 'Opinion'. Sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly marked.
