A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Egypt early on Monday, jolting an area north of the city of Suez and startling a content creator during a live online broadcast.
The tremor, which occurred at approximately 3 a.m. local time, was centred about 22 miles (35 kilometres) north of Suez, according to data from the US Geological Survey (USGS).
Footage circulating from a livestream reportedly captured the initial moments of the quake, showing the content creator visibly surprised as their surroundings began to shake, highlighting the suddenness of the event.
